persepolis

I just saw the animated film "Persepolis," and I highly recommend it. It is an adaptation of Marjane Satrapi's graphic novels of the same title. A story of growing up a spunky girl in Iran, "Persepolis" is personally moving, historically insightful, and beautifully animated in mostly black and white. Here is the movie's trailer:

oh I saw a trailer for that before Juno. Also one of my friends down the hall saw it in Salt Lake this weekend too. I'm considering seeing it eventually; do you think I'd like it?

I think you would really like it, Becca. It is playing at the Broadway theater.

Looks very interesting. I am so out of the international film scene, it's good you're keeping me updated.

I read this book a while back and thought it was great. I can't wait to see the movite. Thanks for reminding me that I have to go see it. From what I remember of the book, it was very accurate and realistic.
