outer banks, nc: my heaven on earth

Sunsets and sunrises on the beach and sound:

Old Corolla lighthouse:

Mysterious bike ride, lead by my mom onto a forbidden boardwalk:

Babies at the Beach: Part 1 -- the Gig

She can't believe this place is for real

Babies at the Beach: Part 2 -- Little Hank (the one-eyed pirate)

Hank throwing sand on Gigi's head
Gigi tolerates the baptism by sand as she is a devote follower of everything Henry

I employ the dunking method

Now Stockholm syndrome has set in and she clings to her tormentor.

That is so precious! I secretly love when they get scared because their clinging is so cute afterwards.

Yes, those legs are similar to Natalia's. I wish we could have a meeting of the chubs. Maybe sometime this year...

Adorable. I can't get over the Gig or Little Hank. That photo of her clinging to you about melted my heart into a puddle on the floor.

I've been wanting to go to the Outer Banks ever since we moved east. If Curtis ever gets another substantial break, I might be contacting you for advice.

Ah, the baptism into the blessed Outterbanks waters! Finn had his at only four months and all of us our missing our baptism. So glad it was as lovely as you remembered!

Nice pics! Especially of Gigi, who was the cutest of all! And I can't believe how much Hank looks like your dad! Way cool!

These are great pictures. Gigi continues to be gorgeous. I love the dunking method. That's brave. there's a girl who will appreciate the ocean in a few years, right? let's hope.
