mother of many

I love this short animated film that won the Bafta last year. The filmmaker was the daughter of a midwife. This is the best way I can describe what I do. (for some reason you may have to click on the picture to see the full screen)

loved it all - from the title to the sigh in the car as she drove away. I had an ancestor that was a pioneer midwife. I wonder what a film of her life would have been like.

Very cool. You get the sense of tension and expectation during birth.

Course I loved it and of course, I cried. I watched it with Finn, PIper and a friend. My kids are used to that, but I wonder what Finn's little friend is going to tell his mother she watched with him. OH, well, it's too lovely. I'm so glad you do such hard and lovely things. Love you!
